What do you need before using the Vipes hydrogen bottle?
Make sure to remove the plug and clean the cup and cap (DO NOT CLEAN THE GENERATOR).
Then fill the bottle with water.
The Vipes hydrogen bottle is shipped with water in it to prevent the generator from drying out. You can keep the electrode plate moist at all times by keeping a small amount of water in the bottle. If you need to store your Vipes hydrogen bottle, add a small amount of water to the bottle and replace the plug in the bottle.
Why is it a 210ml bottle?
These bottles are specially designed to give you a concentrated high dose of hydrogen without having to get all of your water intake out of the bottle (although it can!).
Therapeutic hydrogen levels start at 0.5 PPM, which is WELL below the PPM levels achieved in just 1 cycle of Vipes hydrogen bottle! Just 1-3 bottles per day provides a sufficient amount of molecular hydrogen to potentially provide health benefits!
Does the Vipes hydrogen bottle need to be cleaned regularly?
The Vipes hydrogen bottle uses advanced technology that significantly improves the cleaning process. It has a feature where every time you activate the bottle, the polarity of the electrodes reverses. This reversal prevents the build-up of calcium and other minerals by preventing them from settling, which means frequent manual cleaning cycles are usually unnecessary. This means that the Vipes hydrogen bottle only needs regular cleaning once a month compared to the frequent cleaning required by other models. CAUTION never put the bottle in the dishwasher, always clean by hand.
After long periods of use, limescale may form in the bottle. For a simple descaling solution, mix 1 part white vinegar, lemon juice, or citric acid with 3 parts water and let the generator soak overnight. Rinse well with warm water the next day before using.
Which water should I use?
For best results, we recommend using filtered water , such as from a water filter jug. This water is free from impurities such as lime, chlorine and heavy metals, which allows the electrolysis to work optimally and extends the life of the bottle.
Also low mineral spring water from a bottle is a good choice, as long as it does not contain too much calcium or sodium. Note that some types of spring water are very rich in minerals, which can affect the functioning of the appliance.
You can also just use tap water , which works well and is the easiest choice for most people. Keep in mind that tap water can contain minerals such as lime. This can cause some limescale to build up over time, but this is easily remedied by descaling the bottle every now and then. (See previous question) Do you want to keep the bottle in top condition and clean it less often? Then using filtered tap water is a nice extra step.
It is best not to use distilled or demineralised water , as this contains hardly any minerals and the electrolysis may not work properly.
What is hydrogen water good for?
